Apprentice Maintenance Operative

Pembrey and Burry Port Town Council are looking for suitable applicants for the above role. You will have an interest in the wider outdoor natural environment along with a passion for growing and maintaining plants of all descriptions, along with a good level of numeracy and literacy. The successful candidate will be committed to studying towards and achieving the City & Guilds Level 2 diploma in horticulture/RHS Level 2 by attending college on day release and on the job learning. The successful apprentice will be required to travel to and from work, the college based in Gelli Aur and/or National Botanical Gardens of Wales, and other courses throughout the country as needed by the requirements of the diploma and the Council. The apprenticeship is for a fixed term of 3 years and remunerated in-line with current government policy and age considerations.
