Delta Wellbeing provides a multi-function call/contact handling service 24x7 across south-west Wales. This service is available on an hourly basis to elderly and vulnerable people who use social alarms, it deals with out-of-hours emergency calls for all council services, and is an initial point of contact for social care to Adults.

The successful candidate will also assist with the delivery of the Track, Trace and Protect for COVID-19 identifying and following up with contacts and providing public health advice (where appropriate) .  You will be ensuring the timely and accurate recording of information from those interviews using systems provided.

We currently have jobs available.  All posts will include shift work, which is currently on an 8 day rota basis.

We are looking for flexible, motivated individuals who will excel in working as a key part of a team delivering vital services. A caring and patient approach, coupled with the ability to work properly in an environment that requires many of you, are essential qualities. Awareness of the issues associated with working with elderly or vulnerable people would be desirable, along with information about social care, and/or other services provided by the local authority.

Candidates should also have a good understanding of computers and a great style when discussing with people over the telephone.

Extensive training is given during the initial 3-month period (those appointed to part-time positions will be required to work up to 3 or 4 days per week during this period in order to receive the training). After the training the post holders will work as part of a team of 40 Advisers, where being supportive and pulling out as a team is critical to the success of the business.

Conversational Welsh is required to accomplish this post. Support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
