£25,481- £29,577 (Grade G)

37 hours per week (52 weeks per year)

The Governing Body of Coedcae School wish to appoint a Site Manager to lead our busy Premises Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of premises management, including a wide range of duties and responsibilities connected to the fabric and grounds of the school. This includes security, cleanliness, carrying out pre-planned maintenance programmes, routine maintenance and refurbishment, minor repairs, monitoring of contracts/contractors, advising the Headteacher and School Business Manager on suggested improvements to the general school environment.

The position is for 37 hours per week over 52 weeks a year with a minimum of 26 days holidays, plus bank holidays, per year. Working hours during term time will be Monday to Thursday 10.00am – 6.00pm, and 10.00am – 5.30pm on Fridays. During school holiday periods, working hours will be 8.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.00am – 3.30pm on Fridays.

This is a very varied, interesting role that plays an integral part in the school’s support system. You will be representing the school when dealing with contractors, suppliers and lettings.

We are looking for:
• Knowledge of basic site maintenance and environmental matters
• Experience of general building maintenance and repairs
• A confident, organised, pro-active individual who is able to prioritise their
time and workload, whilst having the flexibility to deal with unexpected
interruptions and urgent requests
• A good communicator and a strong team-player
• Reliable and ideally living locally to the school as you will need to be on
call in case of emergencies
• Able to remain calm whilst working under pressure and have a clear
understanding of Health and Safety procedures
• Robust physical ability to carry out manual handling tasks, e.g. lifting,
climbing and moving items.
