Social Worker (Children Services) - Flexible Bank Opportunities
Social Work Teams across the County
£32,234 - £35,745 (Grade I)
Are you looking for a flexible bank opportunity to fit around your lifestyle? Carmarthen County Council is developing a bank of social workers to work in their various Social Work Teams. This is an ideal opportunity if you are an experienced qualified social worker who is looking for the flexibility to managing your work/life balance.
Work will be offered on a casual basis, or for periodic short-term contracts.
We are looking for qualified social workers (social work degree, Diploma in Social work or CQSW) with post qualifying experience and any further appropriate qualifications.
You will be offered a comprehensive induction and ample opportunity to attend training programmes which will support your re-registration. You can be assured of regular professional supervision, opportunities for agile working, and the support of an experienced management structure.
The successful candidates should have experience of working with children and families in a statutory setting.

A basic knowledge of Welsh is required to accomplish this post. Support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.

A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this post.
As part of the Council’s Policy and Procedure it is now a requirement that employees must register with the DBS Update Service for which there is an annual subscription fee of £13 borne by the individual. The Authority will pay for the initial DBS check.
Brexit - EEA and Swiss nationals who are NOT eligible to apply for a right to work in the UK under the EU Settlement Scheme must have some other form of immigration permission entitling them to work from 1st January onwards.
