Play & Childcare Development Assistant 
(Temporary Maternity Leave cover up to 31/03/2022) 

£20,092 - £23,080 (Grade E)

Carmarthenshire County Council have an exciting opportunity to become part of the Family Information, Childcare and Play Team.

The postholder will be working within the requirements of the Play and Childcare Sufficiency assessments and will be completing pieces of work related to the findings of these assessments. 

The postholder will be responsible for working with schools across the county in developing accessible and good quality play experiences during and outside of teaching hours. They will also work on new and emerging initiatives affecting children and young people within Carmarthenshire.

The postholder will creatively and innovatively promote and publicise children and young people’s play via a variety of methods. 

The postholder requires good communication skills and the ability to work well with people from a range of different backgrounds.

Maternity cover up to 31st March 2022 (possibility to be extended to June 2022 pending grant award).

Conversational Welsh is required to accomplish this post. Support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
