Digital Project Manager, Digital Infrastructure Programme, Swansea Bay City Deal (Hosted by Carmarthenshire County Council)
An exciting opportunity to play a leading role in driving significant improvements to Digital Infrastructure (Broadband & Mobile) across West Wales via the Swansea Bay City Deal’s Digital Infrastructure Programme.
The Digital Infrastructure Programme of the Swansea Bay City Deal is a significant investment in the Digital Connectivity and associated Telecommunications Infrastructure of the region. This includes but is not limited to full fibre fixed connectivity and associated infrastructure, 4G/5G mobile and other Internet of Things wireless networks and use cases. The Programme will help to ensure that the region is equipped with future-proofed Digital Infrastructure and connectivity that will provide the transformative foundations for regional growth and prosperity. The Programme will also help to ensure social inclusion and cohesion in a post Covid-19 world.
As a Digital Project Manager you will work in a small but high performing team with responsibility for leading the design, development, planning and delivery of strategically significant Digital Projects as part of a wider Digital Programme across the Region. Project Managers will take the lead on all aspects of managing specifically assigned Digital Projects to include business planning, financial and risk management as well as being the lead representative on all stakeholder engagement forums in relation to development and delivery of assigned Projects. Digital Project Managers will work to the Digital Programme Manager and the Regions Digital Infrastructure Programme Board.
The team and these roles will fully embrace new flexible and remote ways of working with no requirement for successful candidates to attend regional sites every day. There will however be a requirement to regularly attend sites across the region as and when deemed necessary by the Digital Programme Manager.
A basic knowledge of Welsh is required to accomplish this post. Support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
