Temporary Post until 31/03/2022 –  with possible extension, subject to continued annual funding

£28,672 - £32,910 (Grade H) 

Are you creative, innovative and looking for a new challenge? 

We are looking to recruit an experienced , enthusiastic and suitably qualified Officer to join the Family Information, Childcare and Play Team who will have responsibility for managing and further developing the Family Information Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for line managing two members of staff, and be responsible for managing a promotion and publicity budget. The successful candidate will have responsibility for organising various events and campaigns with the support of the Team.

The successful candidate will have experience of content managing a website, and providing training to officers within the Department to enable them to content edit their own sections within the Family Information Service Website. The Successful candidate will be digitally competent and social media aware, with experience of having used and worked with various social media platforms. Knowledge of Google Analytics would be advantageous to produce reports and statistics for the Department on website usage and FIS enquiries/calls etc.

The successful candidate will also have an important role to play in the completion of Statutory Childcare Sufficiency Assessments. This will require report writing skills, and the ability to analyse data and formulate logical recommendations and conclusions based on robust evidence. The successful candidate will be confident at presenting information to varied audiences.

The successful candidate will link with various Officers and Teams within the Department to assist with and support Departmental communications.

This is a varied and evolving role within our Department. We are looking for an individual who can bring vision and new ideas, to further develop the above areas of work.

Secondments will be considered.

A basic knowledge of Welsh is required to accomplish this post. Support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
