£27,018 - £41,604 + TLR1a

Coedcae School is a highly successful 11-16 comprehensive school of 858 pupils serving the urban community of Llanelli in south west Wales.  The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a forward-thinking and inspirational individual to work strategically with the Senior Leadership Team and Governors to ensure that the school is meeting its responsibilities under the ALNET Act, The Additional Needs Code for Wales (2021) and Equality Act (2010)

We are looking to appoint a highly effective, passionate and inspiring ALNCo.  You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire students and model excellence in teaching and learning.  Both as a team player and team leader, you will support and challenge colleagues to excel.  You will be passionate about Additional Learning Need Provision, with strong leadership skills and high expectations and ambition for every one of our pupils. You will be an outstanding practitioner with a proven track record of ensuring that pupils with Additional Learning Needs have their needs appropriately identified and met, their independence promoted and that they are supported to make at least good progress and achieve their full potential.

This is an exciting opportunity to support and implement the ALN transformation process at our School within the framework and opportunities of the ALNET Actand  The Additional Needs Code for Wales (2021).  Working with colleagues across the school you will take the strategic lead in the planning and delivery of provision for pupils with ALN and will act as a role model for all staff who teach or have contact with pupils with ALN

You will become part of a dynamic and supportive staff team across our School.  The ALN department is a strong, cohesive team, consisting of specialist teachers, and a team of teaching assistants.
