Economic Development forms part of Carmarthenshire County Council’s Chief Executives Department. Led by the Head of Regeneration, it plays a fundamental role in regenerating both Carmarthenshire and the Region through investment and support.
Economic Development is an extremely proactive service which has to constantly change to address the needs of Carmarthenshire’s businesses and communities as well as addressing and contributing to the delivery of the policies and strategies of the Swansea Bay City Region, and UK and Welsh Governments.
A number of permanent and temporary vacancies have arisen for the post of Economic Development Officer. The post holders will be expected to support the Unit in the planning, delivery and reviewing of a variety of Economic Development programmes and projects within the county along with supporting the businesses in the County to recover from the effects of Covid-19. The posts are based in Ammanford, however in line with WG guidelines, officers are currently working from home.
Conversational Welsh is required to accomplish this post. Support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
