Temporary Standby Care Worker (Emergency Response Team)

Temporary – Standby arrangement casual initially - £40 per standby session
Working in our social care response team, you will be part of an on-call rota of staff who can respond as and when needed, where there are care homes who need our help to care for their residents.
If you have any previous experience of working in residential, home, or health care, we are particularly interested in hearing from you.
No experience? If you communicate well with others, bring a positive attitude to work, and want to make things better for some our most vulnerable residents in Carmarthenshire, we can offer you training and support to fulfil the role.
The work can be flexible to suit your availability. You can commit to as few as 1 standby session per week, or up to 5 per week.

A basic knowledge of Welsh is required to accomplish this post. Support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this post.
As part of the Council’s Policy and Procedure it is now a requirement that employees must register with the DBS Update Service for which there is an annual subscription fee of £13 borne by the individual. The Authority will pay for the initial DBS check.
